We're delighted the Parrothead Island Broiler has become such an overnight success. As an introduction, the idea for the restaurant first had its genesis back in 1981 when the store creator John Bowen was in college and was celebrating the end of college finals with his friends at a Parrothead pool party. For those who aren't familiar with the term "Parrothead", a Parrothead is a fan of Jimmy Buffet music and the lifestyle that it represents. Most have a strong, fun loving sense of escapism and a fondness for good friends, a good time and great humor. Anyone has been to a Buffet concert or Parrothead party will know what we mean: tropical shirts, foam plush neon dayglow parrot hats, giant fins duct taped on vehicles, grass skirts and Bermuda shorts, even coconut bras, etc. If you want a colorful, lively, friendly and laid-back crowd, just seek out some Parrotheads. This is the attitude we started with when we created the Parrothead Island Broiler.

Diners of all ages come in to experience a fun, relaxed atmosphere and enjoy great "island" food that is fresh, healthy and flavorful. Offering a wide range of varying selections, we approach every dish with what we call our "TLC" cooking method. "Taste It, Love It, Crave It". We start by incorporating exotic herbs and spices that have many cultural influences including Caribbean, Japanese, and Hawaiian flavors. After that, we allow ourselves to toss in a little free spirit found in Baja and beach cuisine. Finally, we combine it all with fresh meats and vegetables prepared in house every day. As our name implies, we're island casual…not fancy, not expensive. But our goal is an experience your taste buds will rejoice in.
